Giant Hamburger

Like hamburgers need to be easier to make, but a couple of years ago I attempted to do that and came up with this recipe.

Here is what you will need:
2 pounds ground beef
1 round loaf of Sourdough Italian Bread
cheese, optional
toppings of your choice

Mix the ground beef with your choice of seasonings.  I use garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper and then make a large patty out of all the meat.  Finally, put the patty on a broiler pan and bake the patty at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes.  (Top with cheese during the last 5 minutes of cooking if desired.)

Cut the Italian loaf through the middle.

Put the cooked patty inside the Italian loaf.

Cut the burger into wedges (1/2 lb, 1/3 lb, or 1/4 lb), top as you like, and serve.
