Here is a really simple dinner to just pop into the oven in the morning and have done in time for dinner without even having to think about it all day long. (But I promise you will enjoy smelling it as it is cooking.)
This is what you will need to make these tasty ribs: (This recipe makes enough for 4 hearty appetites or 6 smaller ones)
- 8 beef short ribs
- 1 teaspoon dried ginger
- 1 teaspoon dried cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
- 1 Tablespoon SUCANAT
- 1 Tablespoon Braggs Liquid Aminos
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
Put the ribs into a container that can be covered in the oven.
In a small bowl combine all of the dried ingredients.
Add the liquid aminos and lemon juice to the dry ingredients...
...then rub the spice paste onto the front and back of each rib.
Cover the spiced ribs and put into a 200 Fahrenheit degree oven for the day (8 hours).
Take the ribs out of the oven and mix them around a bit in the juices at the bottom of the roasting container and then serve. The meat is so tender it just falls off the bone and it has the most wonderful oriental taste.
