Chili Roasted Almonds

A quick treat that will please those people in your life who love a dash of spice.
List of ingredients:
  • 3 Tablespoons hot pepper oil
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 6 cups raw almonds
  • salt to taste

Heat the oil over medium heat in a heavy pot.  

Add in the chili powder and the pepper.

Stir in the almonds and cook while continuing to stir until the almonds are cooked - about 10 minutes.

Transfer to a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt.
