Bacon Cheeseburger Soup

Since our whole family has been dealing with a  mild cold this week-end, I thought that soup would make the perfect dinner tonight.

Here are the ingredients:
3 slices of bacon browned
2 lbs. ground beef, browned
1 diced onion/2 teaspoons of dehydrated onion
1 garlic clove, minced
2 Tablespoons whole wheat flour
4 cups homemade broth
1 Tablespoon Braggs Liquid Aminos
1 cup cream
1 cup shredded cheese
1/4 cup fermented salsa

Start by browning the bacon, ground beef, and garlic together (onion too if you are using a real onion).  If you have lean beef like we do, you will not need to drain the meat, otherwise drain most of the excess fat.  Mix in onion (if using dehydrated), flour...

...broth, and Braggs and bring to a boil.  Add the cream and heat until warm.  Add cheese 1/4 cup at a time, waiting for the cheese to melt before adding more.  Just before serving, add the fermented salsa.  By adding the salsa at the end you will not destroy the wonderful helpful bacteria and enzymes in the salsa.
